This tool rewrites a text entirely in capital letters.

Accented characters are capitalised along with the rest, and the German ß normally becomes SS since a capital ẞ is rarely used.

How to use it

Paste the text and copy the result. Line breaks and punctuation are unchanged.

Check proper nouns and abbreviations: after the conversion there is no way to tell which letters were originally capital.

What it is useful for

Useful for headings, labels and form fields that require all capitals.

Bear in mind that all-capitals text is markedly harder to read at length, so it suits short lines rather than paragraphs.

What happens to accented characters?

They are capitalised with their accents intact. Check the result if the text contains unusual characters.

Can I undo the conversion?

Not automatically: the original mix of capitals and lower case is not present in the result. Keep the source text.

Are line breaks preserved?

Yes. Only the case of the letters changes.
