Instagram Post Generator

Designing an Instagram post image

This tool creates an image that looks like an Instagram post, with a profile name, a picture and text.

The result is an image file for illustration. No real post is published and no connection to an account is made.

How to use it

Enter the details you want, upload an image and generate the mock-up, then save it as an image file.

This is practical for presentations and training material, because you can show a post without actually publishing one.

Where the line is

Do not create a mock-up that pretends to be a genuine statement by a real person or brand. Such an image can function as misinformation and can have legal consequences.

Label the mock-up as an example whenever it is used outside a clearly recognisable design context.

Frequently asked questions

Does this publish anything on Instagram?

No. Only an image file is created on your device.

Can I use someone else's account name?

It is inadvisable. A mock-up that pretends to be someone else's statement can mislead and infringe their rights.

What is this good for?

For drafts, presentations and training material where a post needs to be shown as an example.
