This tool accepts DOC files and returns HTML files. Headings, lists and character styles in the DOC file are mapped onto the corresponding HTML tags; images in the document are either extracted as separate files or embedded inline.

How to convert DOC to HTML

1. Select or drag DOC files into the upload area.
2. Confirm that the requested output format is HTML.
3. Start the conversion and review the status of each file.
4. Download each result once processing has finished.

Convert several files in one batch

The interface currently accepts up to 10 files per batch. Files are processed one after another; duplicates, mislabeled files and damaged files may be skipped or reported as errors.

File size after conversion

The text itself is usually small, but inline-embedded images make the result considerably larger.

Check the result

Open the result in a browser and check heading levels, lists, tables and image paths. Complex print layouts rarely translate directly to a browser.

Limits worth knowing

This tool changes the file format. It does not guarantee that every piece of metadata, every format-specific property or every embedded object survives the conversion. Keep the source file and test the result in the application where you plan to use it.

Frequently asked questions

Will it look like the printed original?

Usually not. Markup lays content out to the browser window rather than to a paper page.

Where do the images end up?

They may be embedded inline or split into separate files, depending on the source document.

Is my original file replaced?

No. The file on your device is left untouched.
